ROCKY MOUNTAIN SMITHS, an ABANA chapter, is a nonprofit organization whose primary focus is education in the area of blacksmithing. Members include professional and hobbyist metalsmiths working in both ferrous and nonferrous metals. The major purposes of RMS include: maintaining and improving the education of metalsmiths of all skill levels; educating the public regarding metalsmithing, and serving as a resource of information about metalsmithing for all interested persons.

Benefits of membership in RMS include: a subscription to FORGE FACTS, the quarterly newsletter of the RMS; reduced fees for RMS sponsored workshops and conferences; access to the RMS Library of blacksmithing books and video tapes; the opportunity to expand your knowledge of metalsmithing through participation in periodic meetings and other special workshops throughout the year; and the right to vote on various corporate matters.
